Duke-UNC Rotary Center was just finished with its sixth annual conference that hosted the sixth year fellows to present their final research. We the seventh class, got to enjoy and clapped, the sixth class did all of the hard work. This week is a week to submit final master's project (thesis). And a year from today, I will have to do the same thing.
Sigh? No. Joy is. I am enjoying my last weeks of school with four papers due and three exams awaits. I am blessed to have more important things to look forward to, with summer in Geneva and a wedding. Moving around, not so much, but then I have learned over the years that it is easier when you have nothing to take with you when moving around (not all who wandered are lost!).
We got to meet all the good souls Rotarians, who in some ways or another had contributed to our education and about 400 other Rotary Fellows in six Rotary centers in the world, for six years, and gave us a chance to "try" to make a difference. Thank you Rotarians!
After the conference we went for ice cream, and those who were excited with the volley ball played in their suits. I was just celebrating a mundane sunny spring Carrboro day with my camera, and enjoying a tad of the moon showing itself before dark. Those were our feet.
Life is good, God is always good, and I am happy.
